2026 Accomplishments
Together, we have:
- Held 8 monthly Board Meetings and 4 Member Meetings to keep our business community connected and informed
- Introduced 5-Minute Business Boosts at our meetings, featuring presentations from Brandx360 on social media and Ocean State Credit Union on business banking
- Grew our membership and strengthened participation from local businesses
- Held our 2nd Annual Spring Cleanup, with over 200 participants
- Created new networking opportunities, including an event at Harbor Creative Arts
- Organized member meet-ups at The BAH, West Passage Brewing Co., and Rhody Slice
- Hosted a successful Summer BBQ & Pop-Up Event at The One Ten Apartments to connect local businesses with the community
- Secured an Adopt-a-Spot at Colonial Liquors to support ongoing beautification efforts
- Informed local businesses about available Façade Grant funding
- Served as a liaison with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (DOT) on construction-related concerns
- Successfully secured a Legislative Grant and a Litter Free Grant to further our efforts
- Launched a seasonal newsletter to keep members informed about events, initiatives, and more
- Began reviewing property maintenance ordinances with the hope of strengthening enforcement
- Working with the TJ Maxx Plaza to bring tree planting and additional beautification to the area
- Planning upcoming community events, including Oktoberfest & Sponsor Recognition at West Passage Brewing Co., Candidate Forum, Halloween at The BAH, our 2nd Annual Meeting, November Cleanup, and Holiday Decorating Celebration
